The Tattoo Street

In Brisbane, there were several different tattoo shops along the same strip of shops. These shops all competed for customers, with each tattoo shop going to great lengths to advertise their tattooist and showcase why their work was the best. Towards the end of the street was one of Brisbane’s premier tattoo shops, which was home to a traditional script tattooist named Jack. Jack was known for creating elegant script designs, and loved telling the story of how he had grown up having the nicest writing in his primary school class. It wasn’t until high school, however, that he was told he should use that skill to become a tattoo artist. One day, Jack was the only tattooist working in the store when a client walked into the shop and asked about the prices of the tattoos. The client was hesitant, as they had heard that tattoos could be expensive. However, Jack took the time to explain the pricing process as best as he could. The client expressed their surprise at finding that the prices were much more reasonable than they had expected. The shop had a pricing system based on the size and complexity of the design, and they offered discounts for repeat customers. These prices were some of the best tattoo shop prices Brisbane had to offer. As the client looked through the designs, they were drawn to Jack’s traditional script tattoos. They had always wanted a tattoo in elegant script, and they knew that Jack was the best in the business. Jack spent hours working on the design, carefully crafting each letter and line. When the tattoo was finished, the client was thrilled. They had a beautiful piece of art on their skin that would last a lifetime, and they couldn’t believe that the price was so reasonable. Jack was excited to show his boss, the owner of the tattoo store, exactly what he had done. Usually the artists themselves didn’t explain the prices to the customers, as that job was for the receptionist who greeted all the new customers, but Jack knew he had explained it well. The owner praised Jack’s hard work and offered him a raise.
