Is it just me or do all bills seem to come at once? I recently just paid a huge lump sum to cover my uni fees for the semester, put down a bond for my new sharehouse, had to help out my boyfriend with groceries and had to buy birthday gifts for my siblings! Taking aside these costs, I’ve also noticed some issues with my car. The issues are nothing major, luckily, but could pose a safety risk if I don’t get it sorted. There have been a few rainy day incidents where I’ve been driving and have had a feeling like my car is slipping on the road. I asked my dad what he thought this could be, and he informed me that I would need a tyre service. These were not the words I wanted to hear. I thought he was going to blame it on my driving as he usually does! As soon as I hear the word ‘service’ I know that I’m going to have to start forking out cash.
I’ve tried my hardest to hold off getting the tyre service until my next payday comes through, but I can tell this is posing more and more of a risk when I drive. My sisters are going to hate me when it comes to their birthday and I present them with a joint gift. I made that mistake three years ago and they were furious with me. The ironic part in this is, whenever it’s my birthday they split the cost of my gift. They don’t even get me anything super expensive and they still split the cost!
I’m trying to find an affordable mechanic near Deception Bay who will be able to sort out my car tyres efficiently, but at a fair price. Surely I am not the only one who goes through the struggle of all big expenses coming out at once. I’m seriously not looking forward to my sisters’ birthday bash. I just know they’re going to kick up a fuss over their gift. I’m really in the thick of it, aren’t I?
