It was four in the morning when I got a phone call from my good friend Red Mushroom Man. He told me about how he was uniting the Mushroom Rangers to help his friend from the non-fungus world. Apparently, things are pretty bad over there, and it has been impacting his friend’s work, which has resulted in him spiralling into depression. That’s no good, and since the Fungus Kingdom doesn’t have whatever problems the non-fungus world is going through at the moment, I agreed to help Red Mushroom Man out.
Thankfully, I already had the perfect idea for an adventure to give this plumbing friend of Red Mushroom Man. See, we’ve had a big problem lately. This big mean turtle, Trowser, has been stealing all of our power stars for some evil plot to take over the universe. I figure stopping Trowser in his giant, floating, lava island castle is an appropriate quest to send this random plumber on. If he can handle drain cleaning near Melbourne, I’m sure he can handle anything. The Fungus Kingdom has a longstanding tradition of getting plumbers to deal with these sorts of issues. What’s a giant, fire-breathing turtle to someone who has stared down a disgusting blocked drain and defeated it?
I tell you, if I worked for a business offering sewer repair in the Melbourne area, I wouldn’t fear anything. Is there anything more terrifying than finding out what is blocking someone’s drain? I don’t think so.
Anyway, I think we revere plumbers so much in the Fungus Kingdom because this place is connected through an intricate network of magical pipes that can transport us across the city in seconds. This system was initially designed by the Great Plumber hundreds of years ago, and we’ve kind of had a thing for plumbers ever since.
I should probably wrap this up. Marion the plumber is supposed to be here soon. I’m going to take him to the castle to meet Princess Plum, who will hopefully convince him to help with our giant evil turtle problem. From there, he will be Green Mushroom Man’s problem!
